Heating & Cooling Calculation (Standard F280-12)

The first step through overcoming this challenge will start by preparing the Heat loss and gain calculation. Heat load calculation helps professionals to properly size the capacity of heating and cooling equipment and design a ventilation system and duct sizing which fit the best for the project which brings comfort, reliability, and efficiency.

Based on BCBC 9.33.5, the required capacity of heating appliances shall be determined in accordance with CSA-F280-12. We are using TECA’s Quality First software that uses the CAN/CSA F280-12 calculation methodology, and it is recommended by CleanBC.
