Run by BC Hydro and FortisBC. Covers heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, insulation, windows and doors, plus a $300 Two Upgrade Bonus within 18 months.

Income levels and amountsBC Hydro offers $1,000 for a mini-split or $750 per head up to three heads, plus $1,000 for a heat pump water heater. Pre-approval is valid for six months.
Condo cooling optionsFlat $6,000 for heat pumps in eligible northern communities, now including homes heated by FortisBC gas or piped propane, and $4,500 for dual fuel.
Northern dual fuelThe federal picture changed on October 8, 2026. Older federal programs are closed.
A $2 billion program over eight years for up to 820,000 homeowners. Up to $10,000 for households below median income and $2,000 for others, for a cold-climate air-source heat pump on the Eligible Products List. No energy audits, approval within 24 hours and payment within five days, according to the announcement.

The Home Energy Improvement Bonus pays $20 for each percent of energy saved, from $750 to $2,000, when you complete three upgrades with pre and post EnerGuide evaluations. We run both evaluations and tell you which upgrades to do first.
The National Heat Pump Rebate is not open yet and its stacking rules have not been published. Check the final program terms before you sign a contract.
For the Home Renovation Rebate Program, the invoice date. Invoices dated October 15, 2026 or later follow the current rules.
Not on its own. A new high-efficiency gas furnace qualifies only as part of the FortisBC dual fuel rebate with a new ducted heat pump.
Only for the Home Energy Improvement Bonus. Most single-upgrade rebates do not require one.
