The work splits along the line the building code draws. Part 9 residential projects and Part 3 commercial and multi-unit buildings need different evidence, different metrics and different documentation, and we deliver both.
Homeowners and Part 9 Builders
EnerGuide evaluations, rebate documentation, blower door testing and Step Code compliance for houses, laneway homes and townhouses. Most clients here are working toward a CleanBC rebate, a permit requirement or a Net Zero label.
Developers, Contractors and Design Teams
Developers, general contractors, architects and building envelope consultants working on Part 3 buildings come to us for whole-building energy modelling, ASHRAE commercial audits, commissioning and large building airtightness testing. On these projects we prefer to be engaged at drawing review rather than at substantial completion, because the decisions that determine the result are made long before the fans arrive.
